Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using FinderHelper ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
FinderHelper is a community platform that connects people who have lost items with people who have found items. It uses location-based posting, search, matching, messaging, and group tools to help communities reunite people with their belongings. FinderHelper is operated by Chek Solutions Ltd.
3. User Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use FinderHelper
- You are responsible for keeping your account secure
- Provide accurate information when creating your account
- One account per person; duplicate or abusive accounts may be removed
4. Safety and Meetups
- Use good judgment before meeting another user in person
- Choose public, well-lit meetup locations whenever possible
- Do not pressure other users to share personal contact details
- FinderHelper is not responsible for arranging or supervising exchanges between users
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Post content that is obscene, offensive, or violates others' rights
- Attempt to circumvent safety features
- Demand payment or rewards for returning found items
- Post items you know are stolen
- Use the App to collect personal information about other users
6. Content Ownership
You own the photos and content you post. By posting, you grant FinderHelper a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and process your content as needed to operate the service.
7. Disclaimers
- FinderHelper is a connection platform only - we do not guarantee recovery of any lost item
- We do not verify user identities or item ownership
- We are not responsible for interactions or meetups between users
- The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chek Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of FinderHelper, including but not limited to loss of property, personal injury, or data loss.
9. Content Moderation
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate our policies.
10. Auto-Unlist Policy
Found items are automatically unlisted after 14 days from their first listing date. This keeps the platform current and relevant. You may re-list items at any time.
11. Account Removal and Termination
You may delete your own account through the in-app delete-account flow. We may also suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or safety rules.
12. Modifications
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta, Canada.
