Your profile is more than a username
FinderHelper profile tools include avatars, activity explanations, group membership, QR sharing tools, a thank-you board, settings, logout, and account deletion. This guide covers the user-facing parts of that experience.
Changing your profile photo
- Open the Profile tab.
- Tap your avatar.
- Choose to use the camera or your photo library.
- Crop the image before saving.
The same crop-and-edit style flow also supports group avatars in group-related screens.
Understanding My Activity
FinderHelper can show an activity modal that explains what each activity count means. This is useful if you are unsure whether a count refers to listed items, claimed items, or other profile-level activity shown on the screen.
- Open Profile.
- Tap the My Activity icon.
- Read the helper text for each activity type.
- Tap OK to close the modal.
Groups, invites, QR tools, and thanks
Join and manage groups
See the communities you belong to and open their maps, items, and member tools.
Share invite access
Use your profile QR code to let a group owner or co-owner add you to a group more quickly. The code expires and can be refreshed.
See the thank-you board
When someone claims your found item, they can leave a thank-you note that appears in your profile.
What your profile shows and tracks
- Your username and optional avatar
- Profile activity summary counts shown in My Activity
- Group memberships and related access tools
- Thank-you board entries connected to completed returns
- Settings actions such as deletion help and delete account
Supported sign-in methods
- Email and password
- Available social sign-in providers configured for your build
If a social sign-in completes but your username is still missing, FinderHelper should return you to finish setup before normal app use.
Logging out and signing back in
- Use the logout control in Profile or Settings.
- If you are logged out by accident, sign back in with the same method you used before.
- After sign-in, FinderHelper should route you to the right next screen instead of leaving you on an unmatched route or blank transition.
Delete your account
- Open Profile.
- Open Settings.
- Select Delete account.
- Type your username exactly as requested.
- Confirm the deletion.
