Your profile is more than a username

FinderHelper profile tools include avatars, activity explanations, group membership, QR sharing tools, a thank-you board, settings, logout, and account deletion. This guide covers the helper-facing parts of that experience.

Changing your profile photo

Open the Profile tab.
Tap your avatar.
Choose to use the camera or your photo library.
Crop the image before saving.

The same crop-and-edit style flow also supports group avatars in group-related screens.

Understanding My Activity

The My Activity panel explains what each profile count means, so it is easier to tell whether a number refers to listed items, claimed items, or other profile activity.

Open Profile.
Tap the My Activity icon.
Read the helper text for each activity type.
Tap OK to close the modal.

Groups, invites, QR tools, and thanks

Groups

Join and manage groups

See the communities you belong to and open their maps, items, and member tools.

Share your profile QR

Use your profile QR code when a group owner or co-owner needs to add you without typing your details. The code expires and can be refreshed.

Thanks

See the thank-you board

When someone claims your found item, they can leave a thank-you note that appears in your profile.

Supported sign-in methods

Email and password
Available social sign-in providers configured for your build

If a social sign-in completes but your username is still missing, FinderHelper brings you back to finish setup before normal app use.

Logging out and signing back in

Use the logout control in Profile or Settings.
If you are logged out by accident, sign back in with the same method you used before.
After sign-in, FinderHelper takes you to the right next screen instead of leaving you on a blank transition.

Delete your account

Open Profile.
Open Settings.
Select Delete account.
Type your username exactly as requested.
Confirm the deletion.

If you cannot access the app, use the Delete Account help page for the fallback process.

Important: Account deletion is intended to remove your access and active listings. Some records may be retained for safety, fraud prevention, or conversation integrity where legally required.
