- Profile activity summaries shown in the app

- Photos you upload

Location Data
We use your location when you:
- Post an item (to tag its approximate area)
- Browse the map for nearby items
- Review map-based matching flows

- To match lost items with found items in your area
- To display items on the map for nearby users
- To enable in-app messaging between users
- To send push notifications about matches and messages
- To moderate content and enforce our community guidelines
Image Processing
Photos you upload are processed by third-party services for the purpose of content moderation (screening for inappropriate content). Images are stored securely and are not sold or used for advertising.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Other users: Your username, avatar, posted items, and approximate item locations are visible to other users
- Service providers: Infrastructure providers that host and operate the app (database, storage, notifications)
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law
Data Retention
- Found items are auto-unlisted after 14 days, although related records may remain in your account history
- Account data is kept while your account is active
- You can delete your account in the app or request deletion at Delete Account guide
- Some records may be retained where needed for safety, abuse prevention, fraud review, legal compliance, or conversation integrity
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing of your data

Children's Privacy
FinderHelper is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
